This clip from dumb and dumber is not only a hilarious clip, but helps show us some film techniques. This clip starts with a long shot as you see Lloyd come down the road on his scooter. Lloyd then approaches Harry, where a medium shot (could almost be considered close up) is used to show Lloyd try to get back into Harry's good graces. The setting helps the scene, because the location chosen shows Lloyd and Harry stranded in the middle of nowhere it helps us get a sense of why Harry is so frustrated, and why he feels like Lloyd is a hero for getting the scooter.
